I need help please, with a christmas ornament project?

I am trying to add a picture to a glass ornament. I want the picture to look smooth.
I need ideas (if anyone has any) on how to accomplish this.
I tried decoupage but the paper bunches up and looks a mess.
Any help is greatly appreciated………
Happy Holidays!!!
I would like to have the picture on the outside …I know you can buy them but I really wanted to try making it myself..

maybe a tape runner would work they work rather well with pictures you can find them at target or michaels in the scrapbooking isle
if your trying to put it inside the glass ornament,
dont crease but slightly fold the pic in half,
then shove it in carefully.
if it doesnt come unfolded by its self then shake it around a little!!!!!!!!!
hope this is what you were asking for!
if not really sorry!
cut it so it will form to the ornament. then break out the glue sticks! lol. good luck
look it up on the internet
how about trying oil and glue
go to a kodak picture development, they cold put it on glass
I just saw a clear glass ornament that had a colored picture inside that was printed on a transparency at Kinkos. She cut the picture out in the shape of a circle, rolled it up in a tight tube and inserted it into the hole, then it quickly unrolled by itself when inside. She then painted a snowflake or two and some colored dots on the outside of the ball. It looked very good. I can’t find the picture now, but there are endless possibilities with this idea! Someone else said that you could print it on your own color printer too.
I have made “luminaries” where we used runny white glue on tissue paper pictures and attached them to small globe-shaped vases and put candles inside. The tissue paper worked very well, so I’m thinking that if you used a very light weight paper to print out your picture that might be more successful. I assume you want a loved-ones face on the ornament — the smaller the picture the more smooth it would be. Since the paper would still be a little stiff you may need to make slits in the paper from the center like spokes on a wheel to make it conform to the round shape. You’d have to experiment with different sizes to find the perfect number of slits to fit the ornaments you have. Larger ornaments would be easier.
The ideas above with the picture glued on the inside are very good ones too. Carol Duvall of HGTV.com used to have instructions on her website on how to do that. One thing she did was put pin holes in the paper to make it conform to the round shape. I never did it myself, but watched her do that a few years ago and thought it was rather ingenious.
