Have a Christmas at Sea With Nautical Decor and Ornaments
Also: Beach and Nautical Ornaments

Whether you are an ex-seaman, a Naval Commander, a landlubber or a casual sailor, there is a good chance that you are attracted by anything to do with the sea. In fact, nautical decor is one of the most popular theme subjects for decorating and furnishing a home. When it comes to Christmas, things are much the same, so nautical Xmas ornaments are a fitting companion to Santa Claus, snowmen, angels and fairies.
Santa Claus seems to feature a lot in maritime ornaments as well as his usual mainstream rule in supplying gifts to children and merchandising his image across a wide range of Christmas decorations and ornaments. Santa makes a great nautical character, with his traditional long white beard reminisicent of an ancient mariner, or even a lovable rogue pirate.
In the ornament pictured left, you can see that Santa has somehow missed the boat jumped ship, or been dropped off by a sea captain after some misdemeanor. Well, at least he was not made to walk the plank out at sea. Here we find a sunny Santa on a desert island looking very relaxed, clearly taking it easy before the hectic pre-Christmas period and Christmas Day.
A more familiar maritime symbol is the anchor, so the average sailor may be more attracted to the anchor ornaments shown top left. These cute polyresin anchors are ideal maritime symbols of the sea, and stand out well hanging on a Christmas tree.
The middle picture is another popular mariner's theme, a resin lighthouse. This little tree decoration will not need to guide any sailors at sea, as it will be well lit by the surrounding Christmas tree lights itself. However, it will make a dinky little tree ornament of seaworthy note.
