Fabric Christmas Ornaments - Queen and Angel
Also: Fabric Christmas ornaments - Santa, Snowgirl and Shopper
One of the older Christmas ornaments is the traditional tree topper, the Christmas fairy. That, I suppose, was the original three dimensional fabric Xmas ornament. These days, though, she has company.
Using fabrics for ornaments adds quite a lot of scope for brightening our Christmas homes, and especially the tree. There are many Christmas characters who can, and do, benefit from a fabric embellishment, or clothing.
Not only are there a number of Christmas characters, but a variety of fabrics too. Like the Queen on the left, with her regal red dress and beads, on a hand painted metal body. She single-handedly adds quite a bit of variety to the Christmas ornament seen, but of course there are many more around.
For the Christmas tree angel to have had such a fashion makeover, as she has on the picture bottom left, is really quite change from what you would have expected just a few years ago even.
If you are looking to vary your Christmas ornament scenery this year, then the use of fabric can make quite an impact. You can even take out an older ornament, such as a tattered angel or fairy, and, if you have the talent, give her a facelift yourself.
Most, though, will no doubt want to buy their Christmas ornaments ready to hang or place.
