Christmas Ornaments in a Blue Colour Theme - Sea Horses, Bell, Snowflakes and Hibiscus.

I must admit I had never thought of using a particular colour theme for Christmas decorations until I saw a range of blue and pink Christmas ornaments. Blue is particularly cool and appropriate for Xmas festivities, with its association with ice and water.

Light blue especially is can make a lovely contribution to a unique Xmas ornament display. I particularly liked the sea horse ornaments, shown left in blue and pink. This is a nice colour combination, as my baby daughter will vouch. At 22 months, she often made this her first choice when she dressing; or rather, being dressed. And I have a particular liking for those unusual creatures, sea horses, so the combination here is one I really appreciate.

Despite living in a tropical country now, I am quite happy to see snowflakes.......at a distance. Snowflake ornaments may have a cool look, but whatever your climate, they make good christmas tree decorations. Snowflakes are one of the most beautiful occurrences of nature, each flake being unique, and these decorations certainly bring out that unusual beauty.

Staying with the blue colour theme, I found the blue bell pictured above left a delightful ornament, with its hand painted metal finish, shiny clanger and feathery top. Another quite unusual idea for a Christmas flower was the blue hibiscus.

Apart from these types of blue ornaments, I am sure you can use your imagination to add further decoration types, both on and off the Christmas tree, to give your overall Xmas decor a true blue theme this year.
